Affectionate and loyal, this breed bonds deeply with its family and does best when included in daily life rather than left to entertain itself. Their intelligence and work-focused drive mean they're happiest with a job to do, even if that job is just sniffing out every corner of the backyard.

Energetic and built for endurance, they need a solid daily walk or two plus time to follow their nose in a securely fenced area. Scent work, tracking games, or long hikes are great outlets for that hound instinct.
