Cavapoo

Cavapoos are warm, gentle, and genuinely people-focused, they tend to bond closely with their family and greet everyone else like an old friend. Their playful, easygoing nature makes them a great fit for families, singles, or seniors, but they can struggle with being left alone for long stretches.

Moderate energy, a couple of short walks plus some playtime each day usually does the trick. They enjoy fetch and puzzle toys, but they're just as happy curling up next to you once they've had their fun.

That soft wavy or curly coat sheds very little but mats easily, so brushing several times a week is a must. Plan on a professional groom every 6-8 weeks to keep the coat and face tidy.

Smart and eager to please thanks to their Poodle side, Cavapoos usually pick up commands quickly with positive, reward-based methods. Early socialization helps curb any clinginess, and crate training can ease separation anxiety.

As a mix of two breeds, Cavapoos can inherit heart issues (like mitral valve disease) from the Cavalier side and joint or eye conditions from the Poodle side. Regular vet checkups and keeping them at a healthy weight go a long way toward catching issues early.

They don't do well with long hours alone, so this breed suits owners who can keep them close, think work-from-home households or families with someone usually around.
