California Spangled

Affectionate, social, and quick-witted, the California Spangled loves being part of the household action and bonds closely with its people. They're generally welcoming to kids, strangers, and even dogs, making them a good fit for busy, social homes.

High energy and athletic, expect a cat that climbs, leaps, and wants perches to survey their kingdom from. Interactive play sessions and vertical space (cat trees, shelves) help burn off that energy.

The short, low-shedding coat is about as low-maintenance as it gets, an occasional brush and a wipe-down is usually plenty. Nail trims and dental care matter more here than coat upkeep.

Smart and eager to engage, this breed picks up on puzzle toys, leash walking, and even simple tricks fairly easily. Positive reinforcement and consistency go a long way with a cat this clever.
